Frequently Asked Questions


Question I recieved one login name and password from my child's school. Can more than one person use this login at the same time?
Answer No. If one user is actively logged into PowerSchool and another user tries to log in with the same account information,the current user will be disconnected.
   
Question I have more than one student in St. Louis Park Public Schools. Can I access all of my students' information with one username and password?
Answer No, each student in PowerSchool is accessed with that student's unique username and password.
   
Question Can I change the login name or password that I was given for my student?
Answer No, you can not change the login information you were given.
   
Question I have forgotten or lost the password information I was given. How do I obtain the login information?
Answer You can contact your student's school by telephone to obtain login information. You will be asked to provide the answers to the two security questions you filled in on the consent form you signed when you were originally issued the login information. If you can not provide the answers to these security questions, then you must go to the student's school in person and present a photo ID at the school office. We will not answer requests for resetting account information through email.
   
Question When is PowerSchool available?
Answer

PowerSchool is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with the following exceptions:

1. Each night PowerSchool shuts down briefly to perform a backup at 2 AM. This takes only a few minutes.

2. During scheduled maintenance routines that will be announced through PowerSchool's Bulletin feature.
